Although you’re in the heart of the mountains you’re just a short walk from a stunning beach! Lake Annecy is touted as the cleanest lake in Europe, not just for swimming but all types of water sports are available for hire. The water temperature can reach between 22°C to 24°C in summer (and sometimes even higher). 

Entrance fee, lifeguards on duty. A grassy beach with plenty of large trees providing areas of shade for those who want to avoid too much exposure to the sun. There are showers and toilets, as well as a paddling pool, games such as ping pong and a snack bar. There are pool-style metal steps for easy access the water, plus a pontoon for diving. Beautiful lakeside promenade.

Please note that dogs are not allowed on the beaches surrounding Lake Annecy, apart from at the smaller beach in Duingt.

For a thousand years, the Castle of Menthon has watched over a sumptuous landscape, overlooking the limpid waters of Lake Annecy. Set in verdant surroundings, standing like a rampart facing the surrounding mountains, this noble house with its unusually romantic appearance seems to defy time, with a rich history intimately associated with the history of Savoie.

Paragliding - 15 Minute Drive

For the more adventures there is paragliding just within 15 minutes from your front door. Step up and have the experience of a lifetime! Choose you package and harness up!  But not to worry you can also spend the afternoon watching the action from your back deck or while relaxing next to the pool.  Either way, it is a beautiful way to spend the day.

Culture and Fun

Less strenuous activities include ice rinks, cinemas and riding on piste groomers. No trip to Lake Annecy Ski Resorts is complete for small children without a visit to a Reblochon farm, of which there are a plethora in LASR.  There are numerous shops a cafes in Annecy and the surrounding area.
